Call for Late Breaking AbstractsA thousand abstracts have already been accepted for CPT 2008, and we’re making room for more! Due to popular demand, authors can now submit Late Breaking Abstracts. Abstracts accepted for a poster presentation will be published in the fall 2008 issue of the Canadian Journal of Clinical Pharmacology (CJCP). NEW authors are now invited to submit Late Breaking Abstracts. Presenting authors who have already submitted a standard abstract are not eligible to submit a late breaking abstract. Authors must register at the same time as they submit their Late Breaking Abstract, in order to be part of the program. Authors are invited to submit an abstract in English to be considered for a poster presentation at the Conference. The deadline for submission of Late Breaking Abstracts is May 30 , 2008. Authors are asked to submit abstracts using the on-line abstract submission link. Instructions for Submission of Abstracts Abstracts may be submitted via Internet only. There is no paper form to complete or mail. Faxed and mailed submissions will not be considered. Only abstracts submitted in the correct format, as outlined below, will be considered. When preparing to submit their abstract, authors should have on hand the complete contact information for the Presenting author (the Corresponding author should be the Presenting author). Before submitting an abstract, please carefully review the following abstract submission guidelines.
StreamsAbstract ReviewAll abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee. Notice of acceptance will be sent to the corresponding author by email on June 16, 2008. Abstracts will be accepted or rejected at the discretion of the Scientific Program Committee. Please do not call regarding the status of your abstract. Note to AuthorsAccepted Late Breaking Abstracts will be distributed to participants with registration package. The Reference will appear in the Program Addendum. Submission of an abstract constitutes the commitment of at least one author to register for the Conference and present the poster. Expenses associated with the preparation, submission, and presentation of a poster are the responsibility of the author/presenter. In order to be part of the CPT 2008 Program, the Late Breaking Abstracts author/presenter must register and submit payment at the same time as submitting the abstract. Please note that in order to benefit by a reduced registration fee, the early registration deadline is April 30, 2008. Agreement/DisclaimerIn submitting an abstract, you certify that the abstract is an original contribution and give permission to the Conference Organizers to publish it either in the Conference CD-ROM of Abstracts (or on a printed addendum) and on the Conference Website. You further agree that if your abstract is accepted, you will be present at the Conference to present your research. Abstracts are to be submitted via the Conference Website (only electronic submissions will be accepted for review). Your abstract will be published as submitted. The organizers do not accept any responsibility regarding the accuracy of the abstracts. The organizers reserve the right to reject any abstract at their sole discretion. NOTE: Should there be a need to make a change after your abstract has been submitted, please contact the Conference Secretariat at: cpt2008abstracts@nrc-cnrc.gc.ca.
